To enable customers to earn points on in-store purchases, we need to set up an earning rule for when they place an order.

First, make sure you have installed the Poinz app in your Shopify store. Once that's done, you can continue with the steps below.

In Shopify Admin, go to the Program page, make sure that “Place an order” is added. If not, click 'Add ways to earn' to create it.

To let customers spend points on in-store discounts, you'll need to create POS-specific rewards:

1. Create POS Rewards:

   • In Shopify Admin, go to the Program page, click on 'Add ways to redeem,' and select 'POS Amount Discount'.



2. Add the Poinz Tile in Shopify POS:

   Open the Shopify POS app and click 'Add Tile' > 'App' > 'Poinz'. Once added, the Poinz tile will light up if you:

   • Add a customer to an order (ensure they are a Poinz member with enough points).
   • Add a product to the cart.

📋 Note: POS-specific rewards won't appear in the online store customer panel, they are exclusively for in-store use.

When a customer is making a purchase through your POS, you can either:

• Click on “Add Customer” if you've added that tile on the home tab.
• Or, go to the “Customers” tab and search/create a new customer profile.

Ensure the customer's profile includes an email address to track and allocate points correctly.

After adding the customer to the order, proceed with the purchase. The customer will earn points based on the 'Place an Order' earning rule you've set up.

📋 Note: The points earned from POS transactions will sync with the customer's online account if the same email address is used.

1. Check for Eligibility:

   When a customer is added to the order, and the Poinz tile is active, it indicates they are eligible to redeem a reward.

2. Redeem the Reward:

   Apply the available discount directly from the Poinz tile in the Shopify POS app.

Customers need to be members of Poinz to participate in the loyalty program and redeem points.

1. Sign Up Online:

   Encourage customers to create an account through your online store, possibly by providing a QR code in your physical store that links to the account creation page.

2. Make a POS Purchase:

   If a customer makes a POS purchase using their email, they automatically become a Poinz member once the transaction is marked as paid.
