The Poinz tile on the POS home screen

Poinz adds a tile to the Shopify POS smart grid. When staff add a customer to the cart, the tile shows the customer's points, for example "1,250 Points", and the best reward they can use.

With no customer in the cart, the tile shows "Poinz". Staff add the customer with the POS customer search, as for any sale.

Applying a reward at the counter

Tapping the tile opens Redeem Rewards. It shows the customer's total points and the rewards in $10 steps, each marked Available or Not Enough Points.

Staff tap Apply, and Poinz adds a discount to the cart called "Poinz Discount" with the points it costs. Cancel Reward takes it off again. Poinz takes the points from the balance when the order is created.

One balance for online and in-store orders

POS orders earn points with the same rule as online orders, and the points go to the same customer balance. A customer can earn at the counter and spend online, or the other way around.

In-store rewards use their own POS reward, so you can price them differently from online rewards.

Set up loyalty in Shopify POS

   Install the app on the store that runs Shopify POS.

   Add a POS reward

   In Poinz, add a POS amount discount reward and set how many points $1 off costs.

   Add the tile

   In Shopify POS, edit the smart grid on the home screen and add the Poinz tile.
