Your Poinz points balance in Klaviyo
Poinz sends each member's points balance to their Klaviyo profile, so you can build segments and show points in your emails.

What Poinz sends to Klaviyo
The sync goes one way, from Poinz to Klaviyo. Poinz only sends profile data. It sends no events, no VIP tier, no referral link and no payment data. Customers without a valid email address are skipped.

What to build with it
Points from birthdays and social follows reach Klaviyo at the next update, for example the next time the customer opens your store signed in.
- A segment of members close to a reward: Poinz Points Balance is at least 450, for a reward at 500 points.
- A win-back flow for members with points they have not spent.
- The balance in an email template, through the profile property.
Connect Klaviyo

Create a private API key in Klaviyo
In Klaviyo, create a private API key with Full Access. The Poinz connect screen links to the Klaviyo page for this.

Paste the key in Poinz
In the Poinz admin, open Integrations, click Connect on Klaviyo, paste the key in API Key and click Connect to Klaviyo. Poinz checks the key with Klaviyo.

Sync your customers
Click Sync Customer Data. Poinz sends every existing customer with an email address, then keeps the balance up to date.
Check that it worked
Poinz shows "Customers synced with Klaviyo" when the first sync ends. In Klaviyo, open the profile of a customer with points: the Poinz Points Balance property shows the same number as the customer page in Poinz.

- Which plan includes the Klaviyo integration?
- Every plan, the free plan included.
- Does Poinz send VIP tiers or events to Klaviyo?
- No. Poinz sends the email, name, Poinz ID and points balance of each customer, and no events.
- Does Poinz read data from Klaviyo?
- No. The sync goes from Poinz to Klaviyo only.
- Can I send the balance to other tools?
- Yes. Poinz also sends the points balance to SendGrid and OneSignal.
